Protect the New Jersey Pinelands for generations to come.

You can help protect the unspoiled wilderness of the New Jersey Pinelands well into the future by including a bequest to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance in your will.

Your last will and testament is your one final statement of life. It lets you be yourself. It assures that what you have worked for all your life goes to the people and the causes you support.

If you love the outdoors, if you cherish the joys of nature and want to save New Jersey’s unique wilderness for others, a bequest to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance is one of the most effective ways to carry out your wishes.

Your bequest can be a simple statement:

"I bequest to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance the sum of $_____ (or x% of my estate) to be used for the protection of the New Jersey Pinelands as best determined by the Board of Trustees of the Alliance."

You may prefer to make your charitable bequest after you have provided for family and friends. In that case, instead if designating a dollar amount or percentage in your bequest to PPA, you can make a gift of the residuary estate, as follows:

"All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal property of whatever kind and where so ever situated, which I may own or have the right to dispose of at the time of my decease, I bequeath to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, to be used for the protection of the New Jersey Pinelands as best determined by the Board of Trustees of the Alliance."

Your "residuary estate" could also be divided between PPA and any other individual or organization, if you wish, by listing a percentage amount for each beneficiary.

Your attorney is the best person to decide the form and wording of your bequest. You or your attorney may want to contact the staff of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, who welcomes the opportunity to discuss your wishes and plans with you.

Please contact Traci Connaughton, PPA's Director of Development to discuss your options.

To keep one small special place still and wild, please consider a bequest to the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. Such a gift will continue the work of preserving the Pinelands and will be appreciated by others for years to come.
