    Pine Barrens Discovery Tour (Walk and Paddle)

    Learn about uplands and Atlantic Cedar Swamp habitats as we trek along the edges of the Mullica River and discover its secrets. Canoe along the perimeter of a Pine Barrens lake, conduct a water quality survey and try dip or seine netting to find out what fish, frogs, and bugs can tell us about their Pine Barrens home. Discover native Pine Barrens plants and animals around every corner as you walk an easy pace.

    Adults $35; Children (8 through 15 years old) $20

    Mullica River 101 (Paddle)

    1:30pm to 4:30pm
    Participants meet at Pinelands Adventures, 1005 Atsion Road, Shamong, NJ

    Take a 3 hour trip down the Mullica River from Atsion Lake dam to Beaver Dam with guide and naturalist John Volpa. Participants will get a Pine Barrens Primer by exploring the river for an overview of Pine Barrens habitats, history and plants and animals.

    $55 Per Person (includes canoe or kayak), $45 Per Person (bring your own canoe or kayak). Ages 8 and up.

    Cranberry Living History Day

    1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    HIstoric Whitesbog Village, 120 West Whites Bog Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015

    Visit the village’s museums and historic landscapes, pick cranberries, take a wagon ride and more! The Village will come alive with workers and residents from the 1920’s. Join them in their daily activities.

    Visit Suningive, the home of the “Blueberry Queen” and share some cake for Elizabeth's Birthday.

    Call 609-893-4646 for additional details and to make reservations. It’s $8 Adults, $5 Kids, children 3 & under are free. Family Rate $25.

    The Accidental Jug Band will be playing music on the General Store Porch. The store will be open 10 am - 4 pm. Tickets will be available the day of the event! You can pay by credit card in the General Store or with cash at the parking lot entrance.
