Join us for a TREE-ific Party

Help us celebrate Dr. Seuss and Read Across America week at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. Our special guest, the Cat in the Hat will read the book The Lorax.

After the story, children will be invited to participate in a special activity, “Take a Hike with the Lorax”. This activity will require them to visit teaching centers about native plants, bees, wildlife and more to find answers to a series of questions. With each answer, they will receive a sticker with letters that will eventually spell two secret words. Completed cards will make them eligible for a number of prize drawings.

Registration is required. Space is limited for this FREE event.

Registration is closed as of Feb. 26th as we are at capacity for this program.

Learn more about the event on our webpage here.

The Pine Barrens of New Jersey contain more ghost towns, some say, than the entire American west. The Pinelands of today with its pristine woodlands and unique plant and animal communities, is a very different place than the busy industrial center it once was several hundred years ago. Barbara Solem, author of Ghost Towns and Other Quirky Places in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, will take participants on a tour of many of the forgotten industrial towns that once thrived in the Pine Barrens.

    $60 Per Person

Preregistration is required at www.PinelandsAdventures.org or call 609-268-0189.
