The Pinelands Short Course is a daylong event held each spring featuring educational presentations that explore the unique history, ecology and culture of the Pinelands. This event is sponsored by the state Pinelands Commission and Stockton University. Learn about coyotes in NJ, frogs and toads, raptor and reptiles, Pinelands history programs, and trends is biodiversity just to name a few topics! PPA's own Dr. Ryan Rebozo will lead a bus tour of the Mullica River Watershed. Director of Education for Pinelands Adventures, John Volpa will lead a talk on history, geologic time, people and industries of the Pine Barrens (Pine Barrens Time Machine)! You won't want to miss this.

Meet Pine Barrens authors, artists and artisans! Over fifty talented Pine Barrens artists will be on hand to sign their books, display their artwork or craft, play their music and in general, share their love of the Pine Barrens!
Bring your young 'uns so they can enjoy and learn at our "Lines on the Pines for Kids" area!*
Dinner afterwards in The Grand Ballroom at Renault Wineryby reservation only (limited to 150).

Pinelands Watch Activist Training

Calling Atlantic, Cumberland, Cape May, and Gloucester County Residents:
Join us at the Ocean City Library in Meeting Room 116 and learn how to be a part of Pinelands Watch.
Pinelands Watch is an activist network run by the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. Individuals in the Pinelands Watch network are kept up to date on Pinelands issues, engage with local planners and officials and advocate for Pinelands protections. You will play a key role in advocating for the protection of the Pinelands National Reserve.
The Pinelands Watch network is organized by county and we are kicking off our first county meetings on March 20th at the Ocean City Public Library in Ocean City, NJ and April 4th at the offices of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance in Southampton NJ.
Join us at the launch of the county Pinelands Watch network to collect resources for getting involved and to connect with other activists from your area.
At this meeting we will:
- Cover the organization, appointment processes, and recent actions of the Pinelands Commission
- Describe how Pinelands Commissioners are appointed
- Discuss your priorities and what you need to see from your freeholders, the Pinelands Commission, and other municipal bodies.
- Develop tactics and a plan to begin taking action on those priorities
- Provide resources and information to help you in your actions
We will conclude by making calls and writing letters to freeholders and gubernatorial candidates to demand the Pinelands are protected properly.

Irish Night at Albert Music Hall

“Irish Night at Albert Music Hall” is an annual event showcasing a night of Irish, country & bluegrass music. This show will be a live stage concert; presented in the Albert Music Hall building.
Come and share the beauty of the Emerald Isle through its music and dance and be welcomed by an Irish greeter who will share good luck with all visitors. The show will feature Irish Step Dancers and lots of Irish music.

Take Action Night at PPA

Join us for pizza and letter writing as we take action to fight the South Jersey and New Jersey Natural Gas pipeline projects. We will write letters and make calls to county freeholders, gubernatorial candidates and your state Senators. We will discuss where these pipeline projects stand now and how you can become a part of our Pinelands Watch Activist network. Letter writing materials provided.
