Though all of our orchids are terrestrial herbaceous plants, they are so distinctive and so well-loved, we have given them a special place here.
Orchids are certainly intriguing plants, and their presence in the Pinelands adds a very special dimension to this very special place. One or another of the orchids is blossoming from spring through fall in the pinelands, so we can enjoy them throughout the growing season.
