Plants of the Pinelands

The Pine Barrens is home to plants that are uniquely adapted to thrive in the nutrient poor soils.

Threats to the Pinelands

Inappropriate development is a constant threat to the natural resources of the Pinelands.

9th Annual Tour de Pines Bicycle Tour

The 2013 Tour de Pines, sponsored by Pinelands Preservation Alliance, celebrates Pinelands Month in October with five consecutive single day bicycle tours of the New Jersey Pinelands.

Bicycle enthusiasts and Pinelands enthusiasts are invited to participate!

The 2013 Tour de Pines will begin on Wednesday, October 9th at PPA's Bishop Farmstead in Southampton Township, traverse the length and breadth of the Pinelands National Reserve, and culminate at Batsto Village on Sunday, October 13th.
