![]() | Ocean Acres Conservation Zone (2009)In 2004, Barnegat Township adopted an ordinance that created a 350 acre Residential Conservation (RC) Zone within the existing Regional Growth portion of the Ocean Acres sub-division. Walters Group, a major land owner within the subdivision, believes that a 135 lot portion of the conservation zone should now be rezoned to allow the development of houses. Learn More |

![]() | Robert J. Miller AirPark, Ocean County (2009)The Pinelands Preservation Alliance is strongly opposed to an Memorandum of Agreement for more development at the Robert J. Miller AirPark. In the preservation area the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan allows for a 50 percent expansion of non-conforming uses that existed prior to 1981. Ocean County should not be allowed to go beyond this clear and generous allowance. Learn More |

![]() | Pinelands Mandatory ClusteringThe Pinelands Commission adopted amendments to the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP) in April 2009 which require mandatory clustering of residential development in the Pinelands Forest and Rural Development Areas. These amendments require clustering of residential development on one acre lots whenever two or more units are proposed in either of the two management areas, with the balance of the property permanently protected from development. ![]() | Proposed Diamond Lake Sewer Extension in Monroe, Gloucester CountyThe 2008 Monroe Township Master Plan Reexamination Report recommended that the Diamond Lake community, located in a Rural Development Area, be serviced with public sewer. Sewers are strictly prohibited in Rural Development Areas of the Pinelands. The intent of prohibiting sewers in this management area is to keep these areas "Rural.” Once sewers are brought into an area, higher development density automatically follows. Learn More |
