Robert K. Tucker, Ph.D.

Robert K. Tucker, Ph.D., retired in 1995 as Director of Science and Research at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and then served four years as a Research Professor at Cook College, Rutgers University, directing their EcoPolicy Center and teaching environmental policy. From 2000-2004, Bob directed a National Science Foundation/USEPA funded wetlands research project at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association. Bob has served for more than ten years on the New Jersey Wetlands Mitigation Council as well as on the board of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance and on the boards of the American Littoral Society and the NY/NJ Baykeeper, from which he recently retired. Bob received a BA in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Zoology, specializing in marine ecology, from Duke University. Bob joined PPA’s board in 1999.
