Bicycle Tour of the Delaware Estuary
Tidal wetlands are one of the most productive ecosystems on earth. Since 1994, PSEG's Estuary Enhancement Program has worked to restore and preserve portions of the Delaware Estuary, including the restoration of diked salt hay farms and degraded Phragmites-dominated marshes. Situated along the southern New Jersey shoreline of the Delaware Estuary, the Commercial Township Salt Hay Farm Wetland Restoration site represents one of the most successful restoration projects. Grab your bike and binoculars for a peddle tour around this series of unique wetland and marsh habitats. Participants may want to bring a bagged lunch and beverage.
