10am. 4 miles, easy pace. Jakes Branch is the newest addition to the Ocean County Parks System. There is a nature center with an observation deck that offers breathtaking views of the Pinelands. Bring lunch, snacks and beverage. Leashed dogs are welcome. Meet at Jakes Branch Park, 1100 Double Trouble RD, Beechwood, NJ.

"Mardi Gras" Hike at Jakes Branch County Park

10am. 4 miles, easy "parade" pace. Jakes Branch has a wonderful nature center with interesting hands-on exhibits and an observation deck that offers a 360' view of the Pinelands.
