Pemberton & The Pinelands: How You Can Get Involved

Come to the Burlington County Library - Pemberton Branch, on Wednesday, September 5 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm to learn about the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan, what it means for Pemberton and other Pinelands towns, and ways that the public can help ensure that it is followed. You will also learn the tools and techniques to become effective and engaged local advocates for Pinelands preservation in your community.
Topics to be covered will include: Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan; water quality and conservation; habitat conservation; innovative new design and stewardship techniques; and monitoring public agencies, especially the Pinelands Commission and local planning boards.
Participants will also learn how to advocate for sustainable communities as a citizen journalist, appointed official, or citizen legislator.
FREE. Light refreshments will be served.
