Managing Road Shoulder Vegetation to Protect Native Plants
Time & Place
7pm
PPA, 17 Pemberton Road, Southampton, NJ 08088
About 11,000 acres of the Pine Barrens consists of regularly managed roadsides. These areas used to put on prime displays of wildflowers, but in recent decades, local naturalists have been asking, "Where have all the flowers gone?"
Join us on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:00pm here at the Bishop Farmstead for a presentation that answers that question and also points to promising new trends -- stimulated by a PPA/Pinelands Commission joint project -- that just might bring the flowers back, and reduce maintenance costs in the bargain.
FREE. Registration required. Please contact Jaclyn at 609 859-8860 x18 or jaclyn@pinelandsalliance.org to RSVP.
